TERMINAL ZARATE: THE FIRST TERMINAL IN SOUTH AMERICA TO IMPLEMENT N4

THE IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS WAS SO SMOOTH.
- Gustavo Oliver, Terminal Manager, Terminal Zarate
Terminal Zarate is a multipurpose port located 100 Km north of Buenos Aires, Argentina. They offer a wide variety of services including ro-ro operations, break bulk cargo, and containerized cargo. That diversity of services demands serious flexibility. N4 has allowed Terminal Zarate to see the global flow of the cargo at the terminal so they could trace the history of the container and gather better information and generate better analyses of the operation. Any operational deviation or changes can be discovered in real-time.
Terminal customers in the supply chain are always looking for the least expensive way to move their cargo. If a terminal has good control over the application and the space and internal moves, they can improve the productivity in the yard. Terminal Zarate realizes that they have the best technology to meet the customer’s need.
During the terminal operating software selection process, scalability was one of the most important criteria. Terminal Zarate was looking to manage planned and anticipated growth from 36,000 TEU per year to more than 500,000 TEU per year.
The implementation process of N4 at Terminal Zarate was very smooth and came in under budget. Terminal Zarate is very proud to be the very first terminal in South America to implement N4.
