Navis Yard's extremely robust capabilities provide the ability to completely automate your Yard Management tasks—from the inbound gate, to the loading and unloading at the dock, to the movement of trailers in the yard, and back out of the gate, Navis Yard provides full optimization, automation, and visibility.  Advanced optimization agents allows for the automatic handling of "blocked" trailers, multi-stop loads within a facility (e.g. stop to load frozen in the nose of the trailer, then stop again to load ambient product in the tail), maximized hostler dispatching, and many other robust processes. 

1. Manual to fully automated gating of inbound  and outbound loads

Navis Yard supports any level of gate automation, from fully automated, RFID-enabled gating, to manual, security guard-operated gating, and even over-the-road driver self-service kiosk gates.

2. Optimize yard management with operator or system directed

Get the right trailer to the right position at the right time.  Navis Yard optimizes all yard movement, from the processing of trailers at the inbound and outbound gates, to the assignment in the yard or dock, through hostler management, to trailer pool management for detention/demurrage avoidance, and beyond.
3. Automated dock operations

Reduce both warehouse labor and warehouse idle time by automating inbound and outbound dock operations.  Flexible business rules allow the automated assignment of doors and selection of trailers based off freight and trailer characteristics, including trailer type, commodity class, temperature requirements, and dozens of other configurable attributes.
4. Optimize agents for automated dock capacity planning, dock usage and hostler travel path

Navis Yard optimization agents operate in a real-time manner to efficiently keep pressure on the docks and maximize holster performance and efficiency. These agents respond automatically in real-time to dynamic business changes (such as an arrival of a high-priority load) and exceptions (such as a trailer being taken out of service.)
5. Integrate with RFID based gate, RTLS and container security systems
Navis Yard fully supports RFID and similar technologies, enabling gate automation, real time trailer positioning via RFID-based RTLS and GPS, and electronic security seals.
